چکیده
Peat soil is an accumulation of partially decayed vegetation, formed under the condition nearly permanent water saturation, which makes high moisture and compressibility as two main features peat. In recent years, lack construction lands diverts researchers' attention to make use marginal grounds, like peatland, after some improvements. The past decade has witnessed a growing interest in microbial induced carbonate precipitation (MICP) due its reliability, broad application, potential contribution sustainable green development. This study primary aims: (i) investigating feasibility effectiveness MICP peat combined with bamboo fiber reinforcement, (ii) ascertaining mechanism incorporated MICP. Bamboo possesses unparalleled advantages owing fast growth ability survive diverse climates. differs from previous researches native bacteria isolated soil, while most them were conducted using exogenous bacteria, might pose threat regarding adaption pollution. Different concentrations cementation resources (1-3 mol/L) proportion fibers (0-50%) studied, each case was well designed. Treated samples subjected fall cone test estimate undrained shear strength at certain time intervals. results revealed that higher content gained than others did, whereas initial could reduce strength. Microscale observations also performed on treated clarify fiber.

Soil Improvement By Microbiological Cementation
Beginning of the twentieth century, population growth, urbanization and industrialization has led to depletion of rapidly building areas. Accordingly, each passing day, the opening of the new construction sites has become mandatory. Among these newly opened areas, geotechnical aspects of construction from time to time in areas not suitable for construction and deployment was seen to improve the...
متن کاملThe Effect of Resin Cement Type and Cementation Technique on Bond Strength of Fiber Posts
Background: Resin cements are widely used for cementation of FRC posts, but their bond strength can be influenced by cement type and cementation technique. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of type of resin cement and cementation technique on the bond strength of fiber posts. Methods: Forty five extracted mandibular premolars with a minimum roo...
متن کاملEffect of Cementation Technique of Individually Formed Fiber-Reinforced Composite Post on Bond Strength and Microleakage
OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of two different cementation techniques of individually formed E-glass fiber-reinforced composite (FRC) post on bond strength and microleakage. METHODS The crowns of extracted third molars were removed and post preparation was carried out with parapost drills (diameter 1.5 mm). After application of bonding agents individually formed ...
متن کاملReinforcement Effect on Mechanical Properties of Bio-fiber Composite
Influence of reinforcement effect on mechanical properties of banana bio fiber polyester has been investigated. Three different type of weaving patterns such as plain, basket and twill banana fabric were used to analyze the mechanical properties of composites. Results revealed that composite with basket weaving style enhances the properties of composite material compared to other two patterns. ...
متن کاملSoil Potassium Deficiency Reduces Cotton Fiber Strength by Accelerating and Shortening Fiber Development
Low potassium (K)-induced premature senescence in cotton has been observed worldwide, but how it affects cotton fiber properties remain unclear. We hypothesized that K deficiency affects cotton fiber properties by causing disordered fiber development, which may in turn be caused by the induction of a carbohydrate acquisition difficulty. To investigate this issue, we employed a low-K-sensitive c...
